Fabio Marco Brunelli was born in 1963. He studied violin with Enzo Porta, William Bignami and Dora Schwarzberg, graduating in 1995. Fabio also studied conducting with Pietro Bellugi, Ovidio Balan and Carlo Maria Giulini. As a director, Fabio formed his own orchestra, the Aikoros Chamber Orchestra with whom he performed the whole string orchestra repetoire. He has been Principal Director of the State Symphonic Orchestra of Petrozavosk in Karelia. He has conducted the Royal Philarmonic of London, the Mozart London Players and has performed in several important theatres including the Teatro Regio of Parma, the Teatro Comunale of Bologna, the theatres in Florence, Torino, the St. Johns Smith Square Hall in London, New York, etc. He has also recorded many cds.

While a student, Fabio began his career as a violin dealer and expert selling his first violin at 16 years old and opening his business in Bologna at 18. Thanks to this very central location in Italy, he had the opportunity meet violin makers of the likes of Otello Bignami, Capicchoni and Carletti and to deeply smell the flavor of the italian violin making traditions. Fabio also collected many documents and information regarding violin makers from Bologna, Milano and Ferrara. Among these, Poggi, Pollastri, Fiorini, Soffritti, Garimberti, Ornati and others. He also found many italian instruments still in their original conditions; Carlo Tononi, Giovanni Grancino, Antonio Gragnani, Francesco Pressenda and others. Fabio also has an extensive experience in french bows and has been collecting and selling them since opening his business. For these reasons, Fabio recognizes what individual players need and what type of instrument could meet the musicians desires.
